Prof. Dr. Trajche Blazevski: “Istabul has a great inspiration”

Within the scope of “International Engravist Printmaking Activities”, between 11-15 September, we held the workshop of Aquatint and Mezzotint with the valuable academician Prof. Dr. Ttajche Blazhevski. We had the opportunity to take advantage of his profound knowledge and working love in the workshop. We share with you the interview we made with the artist who finds Istanbul inspiring.
Could you tell us about yourself and your artistic, academic journey?
My journey started in high school of applied arts in Skopje. I went to faculty of fine arts and finished pedagogy of fine arts. My first roots are from my grandfather. He gave me the opportunity to paint and draw from the time when I was a child. Then after I finished my postgraduate studies, master and doctorate. The topic of doctorate was premaking of the fine arts in the Balkans.
What would you like to say about the Engravist experience?
Collabration is very important because the premaking is something that has to be made with people. As a media it is very special. And generally he is very thankful. The atelier here is very adequate , one thing he would recommend is to get better space so that you can get more techniques inside. But It is not a problem. printmaking is such a media that can be done even in smaller place than what you have in the city of istabul which has a great inspiration. The Mediterranean climate and beauty all around. The building where we are located, the wind and everything here is inspiring.

How can Engravist can be comprehensive as a wide Bienal?
The atelier to be available and open through whole year for the students. For that reason, the ministry sponsors or anyone else should invest to push the culture forward.
What do you want to say about printmaking and what are the tricks you can recommend to students or beginners?
Printmaking is approached strangely today. Experiments outside the paper should be made. it offers for people to reinvent objects. Printmaking should be approached as painting.

Printmaking should be treated equally as painting because it is nearly in the same layers as painting , it can be put in all kinds of frames basically it can be equally as painting.

Prof. Dr. Trajche Blazevski: “İstanbul büyük bir ilham kaynağı”
“Uluslararası Engravist Baskıresim Etkinlikleri” kapsamında, 11-15 Eylül tarihleri arasında değerli akademisyen-sanatçı Prof. Dr. Trajche Blazhevski ile “Aquatint ve Mezzotint” çalıştayını gerçekleştirdik. Yapılan çalıştayda kendisinin derin bilgisinden ve çalışma sevgisinden oldukça faydalanma imkanı bulduk. İstanbul’u ilham verici bulan sanatçı ile yaptığımız röportajı Engravist takipçileriyle paylaşıyoruz.
Bize akademik/sanatsal yolculuğunuzdan bahsedebilir misiniz?
Yolculuğum Üsküp’teki uygulamalı güzel sanatlar lisesinde başladı. Sonrasında güzel sanatlar fakültesine gittim ve güzel sanatlar pedagojisini bitirdim. Aslında sanat yaşamımın ilk kökleri bana çizim yapma ve resim yapma fırsatı veren büyükbabama dayanmaktadır. Lisans sonrasında yüksek lisans ve doktoramı tamamladım. Doktora tezimde Balkanlardaki baskıresim çalışmaları üzerine çalıştım.
Engravist deneyimi hakkında neler söylemek istersiniz?
İşbirliği, birliktelik çok önemli… Çünkü baskıresim birlikte yapılan çok özel bir iştir. Genel olarak herkese çok teşekkür ederim. Baskıresim küçük alanlarda bile yapılabilen bir teknik olmasından dolayı problem oluşturmasa da atölyenin farklı teknikleri uygulamak için daha çok büyütülmesi düşünülebilir. İstanbul büyük bir ilham kaynağı… Akdeniz ikliminin güzelliği, bulunduğumuz bina, rüzgar, her şey ilham verici.
“Baskıresim, resim gibi ele alınmalıdır”
Sizce İstanbul teması çerçevesinde Engravist nasıl geniş kapsamlı bir Bienal olabilir?
Atölyeler çalışmalar için bütün yıl boyunca açık olabilir. Bakanlıkların veya farklı sponsorların desteklemesi de gerekir.
Baskıresim hakkında neler söylemek istersiniz ve yeni başlayanlar veya öğrenciler için önerebileceğiniz püf noktaları nelerdir?
Bugünlerde baskıresme farklı yaklaşımlar mevcut. Kağıt dışında farklı malzemelerle de deneysel çalışmalar yapılmalı. Böylelikle kişiler malzemeleri yeniden keşfedebilirler. Baskıresme de resme yaklaşıldığı gibi yaklaşılmalıdır.

Baskıresim, resim gibi ele alınmalıdır. Çünkü resim gibi hemen hemen aynı katmanlara sahiptir. Tüm çerçevelere konulabilir. Temel olarak resme eşittir denilebilir.
